Wise Ex-girlfriend

I met one of David's ex-girlfriends on Tuesday. This woman has two boys and David had wanted to see them for a while. He told me they were the reason he had staid in the relationship for so long. He said it was his worst relationship so I figured she wouldn't be all the great. But it turns out we have something in common: Reading! First she started off by saying she was taking the boys to the new Harry Potter movie and that lead to the books. Then we started to talk about all the books we had both read. One thing she really surprised me with was that she thought David and my story was great. The fact that David and I haven't been together long didn't even fade her. She said something that made feel very good. She said some people court for a long time and end up getting divorces later and some date for a very short time and end up lasting, it really depends on the people. She's so right. I could date David for a long time, but I already know that we're right for each other. We both want the same things in life, which is so important. He makes me happy. Why not get married? I know we'll last because I know that we're both stubborn to where neither one of us would ever give up.
